Breastfeeding Support

I am so passionate about breastfeeding and helping moms reach their goals. This page is dedicated to helping keep you informed with up to date websites from experts. Below is a list of all things breastfeeding related, and my personal recommendations to help get you off to a great start. Do not hesitate to contact me with questions. I am not an IBCLC, but I do know how to help you find one!

  • FACTS: This category has a handful of links where you can go to get factual information on your breastfeeding experience, help you sort out minor issues, learn more about what your body and baby are doing, as well as a handy reference to check on medications that are safe for breastfeeding.
  • What is an IBCLC? This means Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant. This is an expert, the Gold Standard as far as human lactation is concerned. An IBCLC can help you meet your breastfeeding goals and is uniquely qualified to help sort through all issues related to breastfeeding including milk supply, latching issues, tongue or lip ties, pumping, returning to work, relacation, etc. A visit with an IBCLC can make a huge difference in your breastfeeding journey.
  • Blogs, Facebook pages/social media I follow are listed below. I used to follow many more, but I don’t like the cattiness of some moms. You know, the mom wars, and, “You’re wrong, I would never do it that way”. Now, my child is breastfed, and I have plenty of mom friends who formula feed – I, myself, was a formula baby. But since I don’t use it, I really don’t know much about it. So that’s why I don’t have any info here. I only have experience breastfeeding. So I have weeded through some drama pages to list some really excellent, quality info here.
